What is Raw Hair?

Raw hair extensions are the most pure, authentic hair available on the market as it is completely untreated and not processed. Women from select Asian countries generously donate their hair for a variety of reasons so that hair pieces can be made that are realistic and natural in appearance. Each donor must be qualified to ensure there was never a presence of chemicals or henna in the strands.

Tailord Raw Hair proudly offers single donor, cuticle aligned 100% unprocessed hair that is pure with no chemicals that can last 5 years and beyond if maintained properly.

What Origin of Hair Does Tailord Raw Hair Offer?

We currently offer hair extensions solely from India in straight, wavy, and curly textures. We will expand to other origins in the future.

How Long Does Tailord Raw Hair Last?

With the proper maintenance, raw hair does not have an expiration date.
The longevity of our raw hair extensions depends on how well they are maintained.

Our hair is able to last this long as we only offer 100% unprocessed, cuticle aligned single donor hair with no chemical additives.

I am a Complete Beginner. Is Raw Hair a Good Place to Start?

Yes! Raw hair blends seamlessly with natural leave out and gives a natural appearance compared to other types of hair extensions. An unnatural look is a pain point for most beginners who desire to wear extensions or units.

As long as you properly care for your hair (we cover this in depth in our hair care guide and blog), you can enjoy your hair for years, no matter your skill level.

How Many Bundles will I need for an install?

The number of bundles needed will depend on how full you would like your desired look. As a standard rule with wefts, the longer the hair, the more bundles you will need, as wefts are measured by weight and not by length (approximately 100 grams for each bundle). For a natural install, we recommend the following:

  • 12-14 inches: 2 or more bundles required
  • 16-18 inches: 3 or more bundles required
  • 20-24 inches: 4 or more bundles required
  • 26 inches and longer: 5-6 bundles or more required

If you desire a fuller look, we may use the guide as a baseline and add on bundles depending on
your preference.

How Long Do Machine-Made Units Last?

It should be expected that lace closures will need to be replaced occasionally. The frequency of replacement will depend on how often the wig is used. Some clients will go years without a lace replacement, while others may need a replacement every few months or less. The frequency heavily depends on your lifestyle and how the lace is handled.

How Do I Properly Measure the Hair I Received?

To measure the length of your hair extensions, stretch the hair straight and then measure from the weft to the ends (essential for wavy and curly textures). This will give you the true, accurate
measurement of hair.

Can I Straighten My Wavy or Curly Tailord Raw Hair?

Yes, you can straighten wavy or curly raw hair extensions. They are versatile and can be heat-styled. However, we recommend always using a heat protectant to protect the strands. Check out our blog for more information.

Am I Able to Color/Bleach My Extensions?

You may color or bleach raw hair extensions to the highest level of #613.
We strongly advise professional coloring to maintain the quality. It is important to note that excessive heat and color services will diminish the natural state of the hair.

How Do I Determine What My Correct Cap Size Is?

To determine the correct cap size for a unit, you will need to measure the following:

** Note: If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up and using the adjustable straps to get a secure fit.

Circumference: Measure around your head's circumference. Start at your front hairline, go behind your ear, and continue around the back of your head, finishing at the other ear. This measurement is crucial for selecting the right cap size.

Front to Nape: Measure from your front hairline to the nape of your neck, following the natural contour of your head. This measurement helps in choosing the correct cap depth..


Ear to Ear Over Top: Measure from the top of one ear, over the crown of your head, to the top of the other ear. This measurement is essential to ensure a proper fit.


Temple to Temple Around Back: Measure from one temple, behind the head, to the other temple. This measurement helps in selecting the cap size and coverage.


Nape of Neck: Measure the width of your nape, just above your hairline at the back of your neck. This measurement ensures the proper fit and comfort of the wig's nape area.

Order Processing Times and Delivery

How Long Does Shipping Take?

Shipping times vary depending on your location and chosen shipping method. Generally, you can expect your order to be delivered within 1-3 business days after receiving your tracking number. Please note that unforeseen circumstances can affect delivery times.

How Do I Know If My Order Has Shipped?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status and location of your package.

Can I Make Changes to My Order After Submission?

If you wish to change or update your order,please get in touch with us via e-mail as soon as possible at Support@TailordRawHair.Com. While we will do our best to assist you, please note that once an order is processed, changes may only sometimes be possible depending on if we have started the fulfillment process.

You may cancel your order within the first 6 hours from the time of purchase. A cancellation fee of $35 will apply to cover processing costs.

What Happens If My Package Is Undeliverable?

In the rare event that your tracking information indicates an undeliverable package, please review the tracking status and contact us at Support@TailordRawHair.Com. Please refer to our shipping policy for additional details on our process for an undeliverable order.

What If My Order Is Incorrect or Missing an Item?

We strive for order accuracy, but if you find your order is incorrect or missing an item, please get in touch with us via e-mail at Support@TailordRawHair.Com. We will investigate the issue and work to resolve it promptly.

Why Wasn't My Order Processed?

We always aim to provide excellent service to our customers. However, we reserve the right to refuse processing an order if we suspect any fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity. In such cases, we may reject your order and notify you via email to confirm the details. We also reserve the right to cancel accounts or decline shipping to specific addresses for the same reasons. To avoid delays, ensure that your billing, shipping address, and name match the details on your payment card.

Please note that we have the sole discretion to cancel orders that use any promotion or promotional code. You will receive full credit for the canceled order if such a cancellation occurs.We prioritize protecting our customers and ourselves from fraudulent or unauthorized activities. Therefore, we only accept orders that match both billing and shipping information.

Refunds & Returns

Are Refunds Accepted?

Yes, we offer refunds within 5 days of receiving your wig however, a 15% restocking fee will apply to all refunds that are not due to a mistake on our part.

What are the requirements for a refund?
To qualify, the wig must be unused, unwashed, lace uncut, and in its original condition.

Wigs that have been worn, altered, had the lace cut, or were sold under our “Uniquely Tailord” collection are final sale and not eligible for refunds or exchanges.

We do not offer refunds for our products. However, we are happy to accept exchanges within the outlined timeline.

Can I Exchange Items in My Order?

Yes, exchanges are offered within 7 calendar days of delivery. We understand that exchange requests may arise and are here to facilitate a smooth and convenient process for you. If you have additional questions or need further assistance regarding exchanges, please do not hesitate to contactus. See the Exchange Criteria tab for further details.

What is the Criteria for an Exchange to be Approved?

Exchanges can be considered if items meet the following criteria:

  • Contact us and Support@TailordRawHair.Com and wait for a response prior to sending items to us.
  • Retain your proof of postage and tracking number for future reference.
  • Please be aware that our exchange policy does not cover wigs, custom orders, and lace.
  • Items must be returned in original packaging and condition, meaning that the hair cannot be: washed, colored, bleached, or altered in any way, as this will void any exchange.
  • We cannot process an exchange if hair tags have been removed or altered. In such cases, we will send your order back at your expense.
  • Sale or discounted items are excluded from our Refunds & Returns policy. Only regular priced items are eligible for exchange.
  • Please ensure that your package is securely shipped to us, as you are responsible for it until it arrives in our possession. For orders valued at or over $100, we strongly recommend requesting a tracking number and purchasing shipping insurance. For further protection, you may also request a signature delivery.
  • We cannot process returns that arrive beyond 14 days, and they will be returned to you minus shipping fees.

What is the Processing Time for an Exchange?

After we receive your returned items and your exchange request is approved, we will promptly process your new items and arrange shipment.


Please allow up to 5 business days for processing. The exchange will be dispatched based on your initial shipping options during checkout.
