Tailord Hair Terms of Service & Custom Order Details

This Terms of Service Agreement is a legal agreement between Tailord Hair LLC, referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our,” and you, the client, referred to as “you” or “your.” This Agreement governs your access to and use of our website, online store, services, and any related offerings now or in the future.

By accessing our site, submitting an order, or purchasing any service or product from Tailord Hair LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

Online Store Use

You confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you have obtained consent for any minor dependents using this site. You agree not to use our services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose and not to violate any applicable laws, including intellectual property laws.

The transmission of malicious code, viruses, or harmful software is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access.

Custom Wig Order Policy

All custom units are handcrafted and made-to-order based on the information provided at the time of purchase. Please read carefully before placing your order:

All Tailord Hair products and services are custom and made to order. Because services are performed by hand and tailored to each individual unit, variation in outcome is expected. No two units or services will be identical.

By placing an order, you understand that custom work involves professional judgment, craftsmanship, and individualized execution based on the condition of the hair, materials used, and requested services.

Craftsmanship Standard

All wigs are handcrafted and customized.

Slight variations may occur and are not considered defects, including:

  • Minor asymmetry
  • Lace placement that can be adjusted during install
  • Fit variations within standard tolerance

These do not impact the overall quality, wear, or longevity of the unit.

Inspiration Photos

  • Clients may submit one (1) inspiration photo per order.
  • Additional photos are allowed only if they show different angles of the same style.
  • If a new inspiration photo reflects a different style, color, or technique, it must be approved before production continues.
  • Any changes that require additional time, technique, or materials will result in an updated invoice.
  • Please note: Style changes are not guaranteed once your order has been placed, as production may begin promptly.

 

Virtual Consultations & Measurements

For clients requesting virtual measurement guidance:

  • Your hair must be properly prepped before your appointment
  • Hair should be styled exactly how you intend to wear it under your wig

Recommended foundation:

  • 8–16 flat braids for the most natural, seamless fit

Please note:

  • Bulky braids, loose hair, or inconsistent prep will significantly affect fit
  • Measurements are only as accurate as the foundation they are taken on

Fit Responsibility

Because every client wears their natural hair differently underneath their unit:

  • You are responsible for ensuring your hair is prepped consistently
  • Variations in braid pattern, bulkiness, or leave-out will alter how your wig fits

If your wig does not fit due to:

  • Improper measurements
  • Incorrect hair prep during measurement
  • Changes in how you wear your hair underneath

This will not be considered a construction error

Reconstruction & Remake Policy

Each custom unit is made based on the specifications provided at the time of order.

If a reconstruction is needed:

  • Client-based adjustments (fit, preference, hair prep inconsistencies):
    • Will require a paid reconstruction service
    • Pricing will match current service rates
  • Construction errors made by me:
    • Will be corrected at no additional cost

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete measurements at the time of order. This responsibility applies even when measurements are taken during a virtual session.

While Tailord Hair LLC may provide guidance or instruction, all measurements are self-taken by the client. Tailord Hair LLC is not responsible for fit issues resulting from incorrect, inconsistent, or incomplete measurements provided.

Fit preferences vary by individual. Comfort, tension, and wear experience may differ based on head shape, styling habits, and lifestyle.

Cap Construction and Structural Decisions

Cap construction may be adjusted when necessary to ensure proper fit, structural integrity, comfort, and long-term wear of the unit.

These decisions are made at Tailord Hair LLC’s discretion and are considered part of the customization process. Structural adjustments do not constitute a redesign unless explicitly discussed and approved in writing.

Color and Customization Expectations

Color, texture, and styling services are performed by hand. While reference images, prior work, or inspiration photos may be used for guidance, an exact replica cannot be guaranteed.

Natural variation is expected and is part of custom color and finishing services. Minor differences in tone, placement, or dimension are not considered defects.

Lighting conditions, screen settings, hair texture, and prior processing history may affect how color appears in person or in photographs.

Processing Times

  • Standard processing time: 4–6 weeks
  • Rush options:
    • $125 Rush Fee: 2–4 weeks
    • $200 Rush Fee: 1–2 weeks

Rush fees:

  • Are in addition to your order total
  • Are non-negotiable and non-waivable
  • Must be paid upfront to apply

Processing and production time begins only after payment, approvals, measurements, photos, and required materials have been received.

Any timelines provided are estimates and may vary depending on the complexity of the service, customization level, and current production capacity. Shipping time is separate and is not included in processing or production estimates.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. All timelines and communication are calculated using business days only.

Order Changes

Order change requests must be submitted within twenty-four hours of purchase. All changes are considered requests only and are not guaranteed.

Approval of changes is subject to production status, material availability, and scheduling. Approved changes may result in additional fees or timeline adjustments.

Send-In Hair and Units

Hair or units not originally sourced from Tailord Hair LLC must be approved prior to shipment. Approval is based on visible condition only and does not guarantee performance or outcome.

Tailord Hair LLC is not responsible for the quality, condition, or prior treatment history of send-in hair. Results may vary based on the integrity of the materials provided.

If hair or a unit cannot safely tolerate the requested service, work will stop immediately and the unit will be returned as received.

Wear, Care, and Longevity

Once a unit has been delivered, the client assumes responsibility for proper installation, maintenance, and care.

Tailord Hair LLC is not responsible for issues resulting from improper handling, excessive heat, chemical processing, adhesive use, product buildup, or normal wear over time.

Longevity varies based on frequency of wear, maintenance routine, and individual lifestyle factors.

Intellectual Property

All content, imagery, designs, and materials provided by Tailord Hair LLC are the property of the company and may not be reproduced, duplicated, distributed, or used without express written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tailord Hair LLC shall not be liable for damages resulting from misuse, improper care, or expectations outside the scope of the service purchased. Services are provided as available without warranties of any kind.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within North Carolina.

Changes to Terms

Tailord Hair LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
