WHAT TO EXPECT - VIRTUAL SESSION

This session is meant to feel focused, supportive, and unhurried. To make the most of our time together, there are a few things to keep in mind before we meet.

How to prepare

Before your session, plan to join from a quiet space with good lighting. Having a mirror nearby or a second device can be helpful, especially if we’re walking through fit or measurements together.

A soft, flexible measuring tape is required so we can complete fitting guidance accurately. This is important and makes a real difference in the quality of the session.

Hair should be prepped and as flat as possible ahead of time. What that looks like will vary from person to person. Some clients need minimal prep, while others may need additional steps to ensure their hair is fully secured and smooth. For longer or fuller hair, this often means several small braids or a similar flat style so bulk doesn’t interfere with measurements.

Showing up prepared allows us to focus on guidance rather than troubleshooting.

During the session

This is a working conversation, not a rushed checklist. We’ll talk through your goals, preferences, and any questions you have. Depending on your needs, this may include discussing fit, unit options, closure sizing, or custom color direction.

I’ll guide you through the process and offer recommendations, but this is a collaborative session. You’re encouraged to ask questions and share what matters most to you.

Measurements and responsibility

If your session includes measurement guidance, measurements are taken by you. I provide virtual instruction and support, but the accuracy of the final measurements submitted is your responsibility. Virtual guidance helps, but it does not guarantee measurement accuracy.

This expectation is in place to ensure clarity and avoid issues later in the process.

Lace options

I currently work exclusively with closure wigs. While I can discuss general fit and wig options during your session, Tailord Hair units are constructed with closures only. Frontal units are not offered at this time.

If you’re considering transitioning from a frontal to a closure or want to understand whether a closure is the right option for you, we can talk through that during the session.

What this session is not

This session is not intended for emergency or same-week installs. It’s also not designed to replace in-person styling or hands-on services. The focus is guidance, clarity, and helping you make confident decisions before moving forward.

After the session

You should leave the session feeling clear about your next step and confident in the direction you’re taking. That may mean placing an order, preparing additional details, or simply having peace of mind before moving forward.
